推特收购屏幕分享社交应用Squad 原平台将于周六停止运营

Squad联合创始人兼CEO Esther Crawford在个人网站上确认，包括原公司CTO Ethan Sutin等大部分团队将会并入推特的设计、开发和产品部门，她本人也将领导开发一款交互产品。

对于推特而言，Squad天生的社交属性与平台高度契合。Squad帮助用户在分享手机或电脑桌面的同时视频聊天，主要的用户群体为青少年女性。双方并没有公布收购价格以及Squad应用在关闭后的走向。

在此前的融资阶段Squad曾获得Y Combinato、BBG风投等数十家机构和投资人720万美元投资。疫情期间“宅家经济”成了公司起飞的风口，CEO Esther Crawford在疫情开始之初曾表示公司用户量激增11倍。
